Dutch Senate

http://www.eerstekamer.nl/ The Senate's main duties are in the legislative field, but it also plays a role in scrutinising the actions of the Government. Formally the Senate can only reject or accept legislation. In practice, however, it has rather more possibilities and debates are of importance. For example, statements made by government ministers in debates on bills (draft legislation) can play a role in future lawsuits. The debates in the Senate contribute to the interpretation of a law. Moreover, members of the Senate can elicit undertakings from ministers about the implementation of a law.

HON's mission is to guide lay persons or non-medical users and medical practitioners to useful and reliable online medical and health information.
House of Representatives	http://www.houseofrepresentatives.nl/ To support the 150 Members of Parliament (MP), a large organization is needed. In total, more than 1000 people work for the House of Representatives to ensure that the House can do its work well. Members have a personal assistant, parties have staff members for press relations, secretarial work, etc., and there is a staff organization that prepares meetings, ensures security and maintains the internet site. MPs are elected as members of a political party. Together with their fellow party members they form a parliamentary group. One of the group members is elected chairman. There is usually also a deputy chairman and a secretary. Each group decides itself how it is to be organised.

International Federation of Health Plans
